September 19th: Lisbon to Obidos, via Sintra & Nazare - NEW PHOTOS

We departed the beautiful city of Lisbon this morning, accompanied by our wonderful local guide Filomena.  Our first stop was the nearby summer resort of Portugal's royalty & nobility, Sintra.
There we toured the National Palace & took a short walk through the village before bidding farewell to Fil after three excellent days.
After free time to shop & have lunch we boarded our bus for the drive to Nazare, a popular Portuguese beach town that still retains elements of it's traditional fishing culture.
Our final destination was the walled village of Obidos, a remarkable medieval time capsule.  The daytime crowds were dwindling but the time we arrived & took a stroll through the narrow streets & alleyways, & as we strolled back to our hotel after dinner we had the streets virtually to ourselves!

Yes, the water is COLD!
